Hi! I am so glad you are on my page.
I have always enjoyed writing, and started picking it up as a hobby when I had a lot of passion or feelings building up about certain experiences, topics, or interactions that inspired me to make a change. I never fully finished the pieces, but I feel it is important to share my knowledge and perspective, perhaps to spark change or just to learn myself!
Outside of writing, I am very involved academically. As a current senior in high school, I spend a lot of time focusing on my college courses: Chemistry, Government, and English. I am also part of numerous extracurriculars, such as Minnesota Youth in Government, where I served as the Lobbyist Executive Director for 2026, and The Youth Voter Project, where I serve as an ambassador for my school to encourage students to pre-register to vote! Beyond that, I am involved in high school political chapters, where I serve as a program director! Those are my main activities, but I engage in civic activities in pretty much every area of my life.
For post-secondary, I will be attending university to study law, political science, or criminology to become a child advocate lawyer! I am currently undecided about where I will attend, as I am still waiting to hear back from some schools. I first knew I wanted to be a lawyer in 7th grade after watching the Netflix documentary on Gabriel Fernandez. That case never sat right with me and was so incredibly saddening; I knew I never wanted anyone else to ever go through that. Following my passion for child advocacy, I started researching the Child Protective Services system for my freshman year at Youth in Government. I learned of numerous cases that could have been avoided had there been interference. My bill was an act to require CPS case-workers to conduct unannounced wellness checks in homes in an effort to stop or prevent child abuse. It passed unanimously within the House and Senate of delegates. I hope to one day get a bill similar to that presented and passed as well.
I started this blog to give myself a space to share the papers I write, but also to enrich my writing and strengthen my skills. As I am sure many of you know, lawyers write a lot. I also thought, ‘Why not ask for donations for my college funds while I do it?’ Of course, donations are optional, but I thought having it as an option- in case you like my work or just want to show support- would be beneficial in the long run! As mentioned on my main page, I would LOVE to do requested papers on any topic from any perspective.
‘The Wandering Brief’ is a handle I thought would be fitting, as I will be wandering through the following stages of my life, and I love learning and delving into new topics! I also thought it was catchy and unique!
